Subway is introducing a new southern-inspired bread with the Cheesy Tex-Mex bread. Since there is no promotional material or official mention of it from Subway, I decided to do some investigating.

Despite the visual similarity to their classic Italian Herbs & Cheese bread, the Cheesy Tex-Mex bread features a distinct spice rub consisting of paprika, garlic, and onion flavours. The cheese blend on top is comprised of Monterey Jack and Cheddar. Despite “Tex-Mex” in the name, this bread has a very mild kick, making it a choice for everyone, even those with low spice tolerance.
The Cheesy Tex-Mex bread is available at participating Subway locations across the country for a limited time.
